Key Responsibilities:
- Consistently represent the Shipboard HR Department in a professional & ethical manner
- Be the Ambassador of Hospitality for all internal guests and other stakeholders
- Assist the HR Services Manager to provide an effective and positive team member onboarding experience
- Assist & guide team members with all questions and queries and escalate ER issues accordingly
- Accurately prepare and communicate crew movement & other reports to shipboard and shore side HR management as per procedure
- Liaise with customs and immigration personnel in all ports of call to ensure a positive and effective crew embarkation and debarkation experience
- Manage team member accommodation and employee spaces
- Manage all team member financial transactions
- Accurately and diligently prepare seafarer’s discharge certificates for applicable disembarking crew
- Support, assist and participate in all employee recognition initiatives
Essential Requirements:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including ability to effectively collaborate with all cultures & positions
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a high customer engagement role or operational position in Human Resources, with interaction of employees being a key function
- Keen attention to detail and exceptional administrative skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office at intermediate level or higher
- Proactive and reliable; can function with minimal supervision
- Effective communicator with ability to speak/present to groups, and facilitate meetings confidently; solid business writing skills
- Credible, responsible with unquestionable ethical standards
- Positive, flexible team player with adaptability to change
- Passion to grow self and develop others
- Fluency in spoken and written English
Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
- Degree in a human resources or hospitality management faculty, e.g. BA Human Resource Management, BSc Human Resource Development or BA Hospitality Management
- Additional qualifications/certification in the areas of coaching and/or developing people, and/or project management
- Previous work experience a fast-paced, high-pressure, diverse environment
Contract:
- 6 months on-board, followed by 2 months of vacation
- Shared cabin with private bathroom facilities
Start Date:
Successful candidates will be placed in a candidate pool and placed onboard as positions become available (circa end of 2022 and throughout 2023)
