Senior IT Officer

Key Responsibilities

The Senior IT Officer is responsible for the IT systems and IT operation onboard the ship, to ensure maximum system uptime.

They lead and mentor a high performing IT team onboard and partner with shoreside IT management on technology advancements and projects, delivering service excellence, and prompt service delivery, in line with the Company's Core Values.

Personality Profile:

  • Able to lead IT training sessions and mentor IT staff
  • Understands the importance of external and internal guest service & can provide support and assistance in keeping with Service Level Agreement expectations

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years' professional experience in areas of user support with a medium sized LAN (non-negotiable)
  • Thorough knowledge of computer systems, including but not limited to MS Office, Windows Client & Server editions (non-negotiable)
  • 3 or more of the following certificates: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Comp TIA Server+, CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, VMWare Vsphere 7 (non negotiable)
  • BSc Computer Science, MIS, or related field strongly preferred
  • Previous shipboard or hotel/hospitality experience preferred
